OUR MISSION
The SURRENDERING THE SECRET Bible study for women at Scottsdale Bible Church is led by a team of leaders who have undergone specialized training.
The SURRENDERING THE HEART OF A FATHER Bible study was created for men and led by men.
Our goal is to foster a safe and compassionate environment, addressing the individual needs of participants and providing reassurance.
Our leaders have personally healed from past abortion decisions, so they can provide support and encouragement to those who need help.
OUR PARTNERS
We collaborate with churches, pregnancy resource centers, and Christian counseling centers across Arizona, providing in-person, one-on-one sessions, virtual small groups, and regular weekend retreats.end retreats.

SURRENDERING THE SECRET AZ offers four in-person, Healing After Abortion groups each year at Scottsdale Bible Church, located at 7601 E Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, AZ.
Virtual groups and one-on-one sessions are available upon request as needed.

I recently completed the Healing After Abortion bible study, and it was life-changing for me. I was 18 years old at the time of my abortion and lived in a very abusive household. I was terrified of what my future would possibly be if I had a child with no support around me. It was in the middle of the pandemic, and I had just graduated from High school and started college online. I felt so alone and afraid at the time, like I had no other option. Allowing fear to take control and believing the enemy's lies that I was alone and had no support, I decided to abort my child. Four years later, I discovered this abortion class and knew this was what God wanted for me. After completing the class, I have rediscovered my faith in Jesus and am no longer afraid of the enemy. I stopped singing with my old church's worship team because I felt too ashamed to praise the Lord; I felt unworthy and dirty. However, thanks to this class, I have found renewed hope in Jesus, and my relationship with our Heavenly Father has grown stronger. I am more confident in my faith than ever before, and I am incredibly grateful that God led me to this church. I also appreciate the opportunity to heal from my past.

I had been living in darkness and hiding this secret for 22+ years. During those years, I allowed the enemy to take up space in my mind, heart, and soul. The destructive behavior and strongholds that resulted were so deeply rooted that I was convinced there was no hope for my salvation. The Lord, using this program and the wonderful women who led it, began healing my heart. After 8 weeks, I am a different woman, no longer held captive by the enemy or the strongholds of shame, guilt, anger, unworthiness, and feelings of being damaged goods (despite the enemy’s constant trying). The series on strongholds came at a perfect time! The Holy Spirit moved me, and through this study, I repented, learned skills and scripture to help me release the strongholds, and received God’s forgiveness. Without SBC, Surrendering the Secret, and all of the Pastors that support this bible study, many women (including myself) would still be living in that darkness. As it says in the STS Devotional, “God’s love and forgiveness set me free, brought me closer to him, and gave me the courage and boldness to tell my secret.” This is now my testimony!
